Working with Rebekah

Greetings Friend,

I wanted to take a few moments to share with you my own personal experience as a client of Rebekah Trimbach, PT.

As many of you know, I used to take Pilates at a busines that is no longer open, Pendleton Pilates (renamed LifeForce Fitness) in Liberty Township near Lakota East High School. I was a student at LifeForce when I completed my Pilates Teacher Training in 2021. At the same time as I began teaching Pilates, I moved my Massage Therapy practice to LifeForce Fitness.

While working in Liberty Township, I learned that a Physical Therapy practice operated in the same plaza as the Pilates studio! As many of you also know, I am a big fan of referring my students/clients/Guests to other qualified professionals so I was thrilled to meet Rebekah.

I can't remember exactly what was the first challenge I brought to Rebekah but it's safe to guess that it was either my neck or hip, both of which were places of chronic pain at that time. The first thing that impressed me about Rebekah was her client intake. I have had many injuries over the years, and have been under the treatment of physical therapists several times, for knee rehab after my ACL repair surgery as well as rehab for undiagnosed and debilitating hip pain. I felt like Rebekah actually listened to my description of my current pain, as well as my history, and some general complaining to be honest. She was thoughtful, patient, and considerate and then went on to perform the most comprehensive evaluation and intake process I have ever received.

Rebekah didn't just evaluate my problem area. She looked at me head to toe, front, back, and from the side. I was bending this way and that, twisting, leaning, and flapping my arms all over the place. As a Licensed Massage Therapist and a (new at the time!) Pilates Instructor, I know someone who truly understands the connectivity of the human body when I meet them. Rebekah didn't just look at my pain point, she was searching for patterns of strain and dysfunction throughout my body.

After a comprehensive intake, Rebekah laid out a suggested treatment plan for me to accomplish under my own steam. I didn't have to come back to her office every day for the next 6 weeks to spend an unsupervised 25 minutes flinging therapy bands around. If I was invested in feeling better, I would do the stretches and exercises Rebekah proscribed. (Needless to say, I did them.)

Before I left her (extremely tidy) office, Rebekah provided me with what I think is the true hallmark of her skill as a Physical Therapist; hands-on treatment. From that first appointment with her through my most recent visit, I have received from Rebekah soft-tissue mobilization (think of massage though not for relaxation), joint mobilization (similar to chiropractic but less velocity), cupping, dry needling, and assisted stretching. Throughout every treatment Rebekah has provided me, she has been highly communicative; educating and informing me of her plan, while being considerate and checking in on my comfort/pain levels.

As a Licensed Massage Therapist, and now as the owner of TerraLuna, I have referred many of my Guests to Rebekah over the past two years and all of them have been as pleased with her treatment as I myself have been.

If you would like to experience working with Rebekah first-hand, she and I invite you to an Open House at TerraLuna on Thursday Oct 5th. Rebekah will be meeting with Guests for a free Posture and Mobility Screening. During your screening you will meet Rebekah and receive her complimentary input on your posture, mobility, and concerns.
