We have been receiving feedback that it is becoming increasingly difficult to confirm space in classes. We are always grateful for your comments, recommendations, and concerns, and we truly appreciate everyone who has shared their schedule frustrations so we want to offer a few ideas to help you get the most out of your membership:
Book all of your classes as soon as you are able. Terra and Aether Members need to wait for their billing date to gain access to their next set of classes. It is not recommended to "get ahead" of your billing date. You must have an active membership in order to attend classes. Luna Members are able to book further out.
Once you have access to your next set of classes it will appear that classes in the next four weeks are totally full. Please get on the waitlist. Refer to the Q&A's for important details and reminders about the waitlist, particularly our philosophy on having multiple classes booked on the same day.
For Luna Members booking farther ahead; be aware that, in essence, you are monopolizing the schedule. While this is one of the privileges of your membership level please be considerate. Check your schedule for upcoming weeks. It appears that Guests are booking so far ahead that they are losing track of their bookings. This is leading to truly huge amounts of turnover:
for example, the week of July 24th (last week) showed 0 available spaces when we reviewed the schedule on July 20th. By the end of the week we had 23 no-shows/late cancellations. Yes, you read that correctly. There were 23 vacant seats last week, almost 4 entire classes.
Keep an eye on the schedule in the 1-3 days prior to each class. This is not ideal, but it's better than nothing. This window seems to be the timeframe in which the majority of turnover is occurring. For example, right now, there is one space available in three out of four classes this upcoming Thursday (3 days from now).
Lastly, be assured that we are sensitive to these scheduling problems and we are taking steps to fix them:
We are planning to increase the class hours that Nancy teaches.
We are training new teachers with an eye towards opening up more class hours.
It will take some time but we are working towards opening up more space as fast as we can!
We are grateful to each and every one of you, our Guests. Your enthusiasm for Pilates classes and dedication to your own health are the reasons why classes are so full! This is, frankly, a problem that most small business owners would kill for; we have so much business! Truly, we are years ahead of where we thought we would be 13 months into operation.
